To correct or to destroy the slumps undo it by being in the present moment of time. The power is in you, not in something that does not exist.

Focus on the task at hand
Be prepared and ready to act
Be 100% mentally, physically and emotionally secure to play golf
Graciously accept the results and enjoy

Do not set your "self" for perfect expectations. This will place undue pressure on you producing disappointed handicap results. Work with your current abilities and talents knowing that with practice and a correct mental attitude and mindset you will improve.

When the golf game is played for fun and pleasure and you are in the moment of joy with each hit your handicap will reflect your pleasant efforts. Adding undue expectations and handicap pressures will weigh heavily on your mind, take you out of the moment, and spoil your golf game with tension and errors ending with poor and unwanted handicap results.

It is better to accept than to expect. Expectations will disappoint you. Acceptance will be more pleasing.
