6 Golf Putting Expert Tips

Putting is the most individualized of all golf strokes. Almost every golfer prefers to work on his or her putts. There is no doubt that putting is one golf stroke we all make a part of our regular golf drill. All my golf friends no matter how well they are playing make it a point to practice putting. Here are some golf putting tips from the pros that are sure to do wonders to your putting. Try some of these golf putting tips and see the improvement in your game:

1. Golf putting practice is very important. It's always better to start your game with a couple of practice putts. Don't focus on making the hole. It's better to just get the ball rolling in the green. One advantage of the first few practice putts is that you will get a feel of how fast the ball will run on the golf green.

2. There is a lot to be said for regular practice. The longer you are out there practicing your golf putting drill, the better are the chances of your ironing out your putting flaws. Flawless performance will bestow confidence and you will soon turn out a tournament winner.

3. One good way to build up confidence is to practice easy putts. While you should obviously practice a few long ones, my suggestion would be to attempt putting within 6-feet. Making the easy putts will put you in a good frame of mind and you would be ready for a relaxing and enjoyable bout of golfing.

4. Many golfers today often close their eyes while putting. The advantage of putting with your eyes closed is that you are more aware of the way your body moves and increase the feel of the greens.

5. Move out of your position only when the ball is well on its way. Before you play your shot, check your position and make sure it's perfect. Chances are that if you straighten up too fast after your shot you may lose control over your putt.

6. Confidence plays a big role in your golf putting technique. Player confidence has a major role to play in golf. While everyone has bad shots it is important not to get overwhelmed by them. Your anger will only spoil a few more of your shots.
